WordPress to Next.js Migration - Case Study

Business Problem

I audited the client's problematic WordPress site. The audit revealed performance issues and visual inconsistencies (the original project showed signs of theme modifications) - specific pages didn't match each other and broke on mobile view. Together with the client, we decided to build a completely new site.

Implementation

The implementation went smoothly and took approximately one month. The site included a homepage, services divided into 3 subpages with expansion plans, and pages: about us, contact, portfolio, and a small blog.

Technical Decisions

Migration from WordPress to Next.js with TypeScript. We chose Next.js for better performance, SEO, and easier maintenance. I integrated Resend for the contact form.

Results

Load Time (Mobile FCP): 4.1s → 1.2s | Monthly Active Users: +200% | Core Web Vitals: 90+
